Family Key chain

Aim :

To make key chain with fabric.

Materials Required :

  • Two coordinating fabrics.
  • One strip of fusible interfacing.
  • One purse strap clip.
  • Four inches ribbon and
  • Matching thread.

Procedure :

  • First, cut your fabric so that you have a strip of each material that measures 2.75 inches by 11 inches. Cut one strip of your fusable interfacing measure 1 inch by 10.5 inches.
  • Iron both strips of coordinating fabrics a one-fourth an inch down both sides with the right side of the fabric face down on your ironing board.
  • Use a piece of card board paper to fold the material over to give a nice even hem-line.
  • When both fabrics have been ironed, fold the material in half length wise and iron be careful to match the edges up nicely.
  • Take your strip of fusable interfacing and place it evenly between your two coordinating fabric. Make sure the fold of each ironed fabric are on opposite sides.
  • Iron these together this will temporarily fuse the top and bottom materials together so they are easier to sum and will make your key chain a little sturdier.
  • Now sew along both edges of the key chain, close to the edge which was about an one-eighth inch seam.
  • Now take purse clip and slide it onto the key chain. be sure that the clip is on top of the material. Place the two raw edges so, that one is over lapping the other about one-fourth of an inch.
  • Sew them together using an zig-zag stitch several times bak and fro so that it does not come out,

BRACELET MAKING

Aim :

How to make beaded bracelet.

Objective :

Learn about today’s pattern and make a creative product.

Materials Required :

  • Different type bead
  • Nylon string
  • Pearls

Procedure :

  • Based on the size of beads select a elastic nylon string.
  • Decide on a design before putting the beads on the elastic or wire.
  • Start to insert the beads on the wire based on the pattern.
  • Keep adding beads until you have the length you want.
  • Measure your wrist and cut the elastic a little bit longer.
  • Clip off and tie a square knot.
  • Slide the knot under one of the adjecent bead.
  • Wait for glue to dry before wearing your bracelet.

Observation :

Nice creative bracelets were made by the students.

Nutrition and Health Status

Aim :

To study the nutrition and health status of people in an area.

Objective :

To understand nad know various health diseases due to lifestyle changes.

Materials Required :

  • Questionnaire
  • People from the community

Nutritional Status :

The condition of health of a person that is influenced by the intake and utilization of nutritients is called nutritional status.

Assessment of Nutritional status :

The process of determining the nutritional status of an individual or a group is known as nutritional assessment. There are few simple ways by which you can know the nutritional status of our self as well as of others. These procedures are:

  • By measuring physical growth [Anthropometer in measurement].
  • By determining dietering intake.
  • By recognising nutritional deficiency diseases.
  • Biochemical analysis.

Procedure :

  • Based on the sample questionnaire students prepare their own questionnaire to conduct survey.
  • Survey was conducted by them in their own locality.
  • students gather their information require to check their nutritional status and made analysis out of it.

Observations :

Based on the survey data analysis was done and observed the lifetime changes has brought lot of changes which has created an impact on health and nutritional status.

Result :

To study the reviles that lifestyle changes had brought in lifestyle diseases. Therefore its is concluded that intake balance with appropriate exercise helps us yo maintain proper health.

HPE stands for Health and Physical Education. It is an integral component of a balanced educational program, under which SEWA is a part.
